Took a breath, tied my shoes, and now I’m back in the race!

Yeah, about the title. I guess it’s a weird little way of saying I’m feeling great! Yeah, I’ve had some problems, but they are gone, left behind, because I’m back on track(and on fire) to change the world!!

Well, I owe a little credit to these books I’ve been reading. They really are great. Here they are:

The 7 habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey: This book has pretty much slapped me in the face! A major wake-up call. All this time, I’ve been oh, poor me, blah, blah, blah. I’m only on the second chapter, but wow! It’s  really inspired me to think more positively about myself, other people, and life in general.

Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver: I haven’t started reading this yet, but something about it caught my eye. It ’s mainly about living the way God want you to, and not the way you want to, if you couldn’t tell. One of the things it says on the cover is: “Finding intimacy with God in the busyness of Life”. That’s definitely something I’m working at!!

And finally, In a pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day by Mark Batterson: I’ve heard a lot of people were reading this book, so naturally, I wanted to check it out. I’ve only read a few pages, and it must be good because I’m still reading! (little joke, sorry…) The first thing I looked at was the back of the book, where I found “What if the life you really want, and the future God wants for you, is hiding right now, in your biggest problem, your worst failure… your greatest fear?” I immediately decided I wanted to read it. You know how sometimes somebody says something, and your stomach starts hurting, and you feel sick, because you know that even though they might not know the situation, they are talking to you? That little inkling of hurt, or even God just straight up saying, “Um, yeah, you need to read this!” Well, that’s pretty much what happened.

That’s pretty much it, except, if you are going to Epic weekend, I am sad to say, I am not.  I still have to save for amplified, and camp, and possibly a missions trip*hint, hint*mom ;) . So don’t be too sad about it! And there is also a possibility I can’t make it to Servolution too. I really did want to do this, but circumstances came up, you know.

Anywayz, thanx for listening!
